December 2005 - We
would like to wish all our clients and friends, a very

25 November 2005 - Our new broodmare
'Weltschatz' finally arrived
with us last night at 7pm in blizzard conditions !
02 November 2005 - We are pleased
with the purchase of our latest Hanoverian broodmare
'Weltschatz' from Germany.
This lovely mare is
by Weltmeyer and is in foal to the Celle State Stud
Stallion
'Don Frederico' for 2006.
18 October 2005 - We were very pleased
to hear from the owner of Riviera
who was bought from us as a foal, and is now 3 years
old. He has recently been backed and we have been informed
that he has been a dream to work with. Julie says "He
has not put a foot wrong and in fact has been so well
behaved that I have backed him myself!
He is absoutely the nicest person you could ever wish
to have to deal with - he is perky, inquisitive, nosey
but utterly willing to please".
We are absolutely delighted with this news, as it has
showed us that we are producing horses with the very
best of temperaments, which for us is the number one
priority in our breeding programme.
10 October 2005 - Today our Hannoverian
mare Raissa and her Sunny Boy filly, Skye MKM, were
assessed by the Oldenburg graders. Raissa who is already
Main Stud Book for Hanoverian, was graded into the Main
Stud Book for Oldenburg.
Her filly, Skye MKM they really liked and so they awarded
her a Fohlenprämie, which is a "foal premium
awarded to especially good quality colts and fillies".
We are very pleased with today's result and Skye's new
owner is thrilled with her result.
8 October 2005 - We were pleased to
hear that Drambuie MKM was safely delivered to his new
home today at Aske Estate in North Yorkshire. We look
forward to following his progress over the coming years
with his new owner.
25 August 2005 - Congratulations to
Sheila Watson from North Yorkshire on the purchase of
'Drambuie MKM'.
24 August 2005 - Congratulations to
Pam Millar on the purchase of Havanna. We wish Pam and
Havanna all the best and look forward to seeing them
both out competing in the future.
23 August 2005 - Congratulations to
Deen Benedict of Rollover Farm, Florida, USA, on the
purchase of 'Bailey MKM'.
Deen is a Grand Prix dressage rider who has high aims
for this colt.
MKM Sportshorse Stud are thrilled with Bailey's new
home.
18 July 2005 - Congratulations to
Liz Smith on the purchase of our Sunny Boy x Rubinstein
filly foal named 'Skye MKM'. We wish her all the best.
08 May 2005 - Karen Malcolmson heads
off tomorrow to spend time down at Balcormo Stud in
Fife. Here she will gain some experience working in
a very busy AI Centre which is run by Dugald and Jacky
Low-Mitchell, and hopefully in the future MKM Sportshorse
Stud will run as an AI Centre here in Aberdeenshire.
19 March 2005 - Our last due foal
arrived at 2am this morning. Liberia, our KWPN mare
produced a lovely bay colt by Del Piero (Donnerhall
x Matcho AA). Pictures will be posted soon on our 'Sales
Page'.
30 March 2005 - Our Rubinstein mare
has just produced a very elegant, tall, leggy black
filly at 8pm tonight. The sire is Sunny Boy (Sandro
Hit x Donnerhall). She is for sale and pictures will
be available very soon !!
16 March 2005 - We are thrilled with
our first arrival of the 2005 breeding season. A beautiful
colt was born out of our Rubinstein x Weltmeyer broodmare
at 3am on Wednesday 16th of March. The sire of this
colt is the outstanding young Hanoverian stallion 'Belissimo'.
The foal is a stunning bay with 2 white front fetlocks
and two white matching socks at the back with a narrow
blaze down his face. Photos to follow on the 'Sales'
Page.
07 February 2005 - Karen and Michael
Malcolmson have just returned from an enjoyable 4 days
at the KWPN Hengstenkeuring at Den Bosch in Holland.
