Bernwode
Delauney
Black Hanoverian Mare
Born 2000
Don Gregory x Rubinstein
Delauney’s
sire, ‘Don Gregory’ is a son of the legendary
Oldenburg stallion ‘Donnerhall’. Don Gregory
has competed at Grand Prix level with Lisa Wilcox and
had already achieved international placements by the
age of seven.
Delauney’s dam, ‘Raissa’
is by the late Oldenburg dressage champion, ‘Rubinstein’
who was ridden for Germany by Nicole Uphoff.
Delauney is owned and bred by Sarah Steggall in Buckinghamshire,
who has high aims for this elegant mare. She is an excellent
example of the modern warmblood with outstanding movement,
and is being brought on carefully by Louise Crutcher
who has represented Great Britain on several occasions
as a member of the Pony Dressage Championship Squad.
Louise receives help from German trainer, Michael Beining,
and British Olympic rider, Carl Hester, and was a member
of the Bronze medal winning 2004 Pony European Dressage
Team in Poland.
So far this mare has shown a great attitude to work
and is very bright and eager to learn.
