14 Dec 2006 - We
have a new member of our family, 'Maisie'. She is a
Goldendoodle, which is a Golden Retriever x Standard
Poodle. She has the most wonderful nature and is settling
in well.
16 Nov 2006 - Our Rascalino x Sandro
Hit colt arrived from Germany last night and we are
very pleased with him!!!
He has settled in very well and is very friendly with
an excellent temperament.
03 Nov 2006 - We were pleased to hear
that Dolly Varden MKM arrived safely in Devon and is
settling well into her new home.
27 Oct 2006 - Dolly was picked up
by Gillies Horse Transporters today and will be delivered
to her new home next week.
18 Oct 2006 - Don Deinde MKM arrived
safely at his new home today. We are told he came
straight off the lorry, into the stable and started
eating his haylege.
The new owners say "He is so georgeous .... and
we are very very happy with him.... all he wants is
to be loved .. and he is such a people person ...
Karen - thank you so much for all your help ... we will
keep in touch and send lots of pictures to you ... and
rest assured he is absolutely fine, and has the best
of homes a horse could ever wish for. We are over the
moon with him and will love him to bits!".
As a breeder these comments make it all worthwhile for
us.
13 Oct 2006 - Don Deinde MKM, left
with Gillies Horse Transporters this morning and will
reach
his new home in Surrey on Tuesday. We look forward to
following this special colt's progress over
the coming years.
07 Oct 2006 - We recently learnt that
our Florencio stallion prospect in Germany was possibly
not going to be suitable as a stallion due to a veterinary
issue.
Dietmar Weinrich very kindly sent us details of other
colts he had available and then a couple of days later
phoned us saying he had found us the perfect colt!
So, the stud has a stallion prospect - ***Rascalino
x Sandro Hit x Dream of Glory***.

30 Sep 2006 - Soraya finally arrived
safe and well with us on Thursday night. This is a very
big moving mare with a wonderful temperament. She will
be an outstanding addition to our broodmare band.
23 Sep 2006 - Our new broodmare 'Soraya'
has now been picked up from Germany and will
arrive with us next Thursday.
01 Sep 2006 - We are very excited
about our new purchase from Germany.
The stud has bought another top quality broodmare by
Sandro Song x Feinbrand. This mare is in
foal to the stunning young stallion 'London Swing' (Londonderry
x Rubinstein).
19 Aug 2006 - We were delighted to
hear from the owner of Skye MKM
and receive some pictures of this beautiful yearling
filly by Sunny Boy x Rubinstein.
Liz is so pleased with this filly that she is looking
to buy another filly foal from us next year.
06 Aug 2006 - We would like to thank
Clem Somerset from the British Hanoverian Horse Society,
for making the trip up to our stud in Scotland. Both
Dolly Varden MKM and Don Deinde MKM
are now branded BHHS and will shortly receive their
passports ready for going to their new homes
at weaning time.
28 July 2006 - A huge congratulations
to Pam Millar and Havanna
for their excellent results last weekend. They received
over 70% in their first Novice Tests and came away with
3 x First Place
and a Second Place. Havanna
and Pam also did a short demo to music at the launch
of the new Equestrian Magazine 'Talking Horse'. We hope
to have some new pictures of Havanna
soon.
30 June 2006 - Karen went down to
Balcormo Stud yesterday and collected our broodmare
'Weltschatz' and her filly foal 'Dolly Varden'.
Weltschatz has now been
successfully scanned in foal to Sir Donnerhall
for 2007.
26 June 2006 - We received a lovely
email from the owner of Riviera.
She informs us that he is
doing well and she hopes to have him out at his first
dressage competition in September. We have added Riviera's
updated pictures to his webpage.
23 June 2006 - Santiago was picked
up by Gillies Horse Transporters at 6am this morning.
He walked onto the lorry very calmly and will be delivered
to his new owner on Monday. We wish
them the very best of luck and look forward to hearing
about Santiago's progress over the coming years.
12 June 2006 - Karen enjoyed a very
busy week at Balcormo Stud, where she gained more AI
experience. As always Jacky and Dugald were very welcoming
and were happy to share their wealth of knowledge. Ben
Wentink from Balcormo Stud was also kind enough to spend
an afternoon with Karen, going through the process of
collecting from the stallion, evaluating the semen and
then inseminating the mare.
MKM Sportshorse Stud, hope to start work next year on
setting up for AI.
01 June 2006 - Congratulations to
Sian Coughlan and co-owner Denise Stamp of River Hill
Farm, Binstead, Surrey on the purchase of our Don
Kennedy x Rubinstein Colt foal.
He will be brought on as a dressage prospect for Louise
Stamp, who has recently had great success competing
at Prix St George and Intermediere 1. He will be kept
at River Hill Farm along with Sian's other horse, Narnia
(who used to compete at Prix St George and Inter 1 and
2) and all Denise and Louise's other horses.
Louise, who sadly lost her wonderful horse, Doncaster
very recently, will be in charge of handling
and bringing on the colt (basically loving him loads!!!),
and is very excited at the prospect!!
29 May 2006 - Our Rubinstein x Weltmeyer
mare 'Rubinha' came home
from Balcormo Stud and
is safely scanned in foal to Premium Hanoverian stallion
'St. Moritz' (Sandro Hit x De-Niro),
who stands at PAPE Stud, Germany. Rubinha will be due
March 2007.
25 May 2006 - We love to hear updates
from previous clients that have bought foals from us.
The owner of Skye sent us a lovely
email yesterday and we thought we would share it with
you.
"I
just thought I'd give you an update on my beautiful
girl. Most of her winter coat has gone and now we see
her lovely shiny black coat. She loves being groomed
infact she just loves attention. She has a wonderful
temperament we all adore her. We have had a lot of rain
recently so now she has her rugs like all my other horses.......by
the way the rug is a 6ft rug which is a little big on
her but not too bad, so you'll realise she's grown quite
a lot, there's certainly nothing wrong with her appetite.
I can't praise her enough she has it all looks, movement
and a wonderful temperament. I think I'm very lucky
to have her."
12 May 2006 - Our Weltmeyer mare,
Weltschatz and her Don Frederico filly foal were taken
to Balcormo Stud today, where the mare will be bred
to Sir Donnerhall for 2007.
We then collected our broodmare Liberia and took her
home as she has been safely scanned in foal
to Belissimo M for March 2007.
06 May 2006 - At long last our Rubinstein
mare gave birth to a beautiful black colt today @ 10.40am
We are delighted with yet another top class foal from

03 May 2006 - Congratulations to Marion
and Claire Watson on the purchase of the filly foal,
Don Frederico x Weltmeyer x Rubinstein. We are delighted
with the new home that this special filly will
be heading to at weaning time in October.
25 April 2006 - Our first mare has
been scanned in foal for 2007. Liberia was bred to Belissimo
M earlier this month, and so will be due mid of March
2007.
24 April 2006 - Congratulations to
Mrs Akbar, on the purchase of Santiago. We wish them
all the very best. Santiago will remain here with us
until the summer.
22 April 2006 - We are delighted with
the arrival of our first foal!!
A beautiful dark Don Frederico filly was born this morning.
Both mother and daughter are doing well. Pictures will
follow later today or tomorrow. This filly is for sale

07 April 2006 - We safely delivered
Skye MKM to her new home. We wish Liz Smith and Skye
all the very best for the future !
27 March 2006 - We are very pleased
with our new purchase in Germany. A black Oldenburg
colt by Florencio x Campari M x Akzent II. He will be
retained by the stud as a future stallion prospect.
03 March 2006 - As you can see from
the pictures above, we are currently living in a winter
wonderland.
06 February 2006 - We have just returned
from our annual trip to the KWPN Stallion Licensing
in Holland with our good friends Caroline and Gordon
from Morayfirth Stud and Lynn and Mike from Saddlers-Mews
Stud. There was some very spectacular young stallions
which made it forward to the stallion testing. For me,
the dressage display by Lingh, and the stunning performance
by Florencio were the highlight of the evening performances.
We topped it off with a wonderful trip to Nijhof Stud
on Sunday afternoon where Henk Jr. showed us their beautiful
stallions and some lovely youngstock.
25 January 2006 - We were delighted
to hear from the new ower of Havanna,
who informed us of their first dressage competition
results. They received First Place in both of their
tests with scores of 72% and 74%. This is an excellent
first result and we look forward to hearing more news
on Havanna over the coming months.
20 January 2006 - Our new yearling
colt arrived from Germany last night
12 January 2006 - We are very pleased

08 January 2006 - We have selected
the stallions for each of our broodmares for this coming
breeding season.

05 January 2006 - We have 2 broodmares
for foaling this year.
We have a Don Frederico
x Weltmeyer foal due @ end of March,
and a Don Kennedy x Rubinstein
foal due @ the beginning of April.
