24 December 2007 - We
wish you a Merry Christmas !!
13 December 2007 - Weltgirl
safely arrived with us from Germany today. We are very
pleased with this lovely mare and thank the Baumgart
family, - Karen was very fortunate to visit their studfarm
during her time on the Hanoverian Breeders Orientation
course in October.
01 December 2007 - We
are delighted to announce that the stud has bought another
top class mare. 'Weltgirl' is full sister to the Licensed
Hanoverian stallions 'Weltregent H' and 'Weltroyal'.
She is by Weltmeyer x Donnerhall x Pik Bube,
and in foal to Romancero H (Rohdiamant x Matcho). Her
webpage will follow shortly.
23 November 2007 - Miss
Moonshine arrived safely with us late yesterday afternoon
and was re-united with her former stable mate in Germany,
Hatara. Gillies driver told us she had been no bother
on her journey, and she settled quietly into her stable
for the evening. Today she enjoyed out in the field
to stretch her legs and meet her new companions. Miss
Moonshine is due to foal in March 2008 (see Sales
Page).
16 November 2007 - After
months of delay, Rubinha finally set off on the first
part of her journey to Tasmania. Due to flu in Australia,
Ruby has been unable to travel there, but now restrictions
have been lifted in certain areas and she can finally
head for warmer climates !!
29 October 2007 - Karen
has just returned from 2 weeks in Germany on the Hanoverian
Breed Orientation course. The course consisted of lectures
on the Hanoverian breeding programme, on bloodlines
along with judging of sports horses, as well as visits
to Hanoverian breeders, a visit to the
Celle State Stud, Mare Performance Testing, the stallion
performance test at Adelheidsdorf and to finish off,
the stallion licensing at Verden. The course was outstanding
and the Hanoverian Verband showed why they are the top
studbook. Karen met many friends on the course from
all over the world and looks forward to keeping in touch
with all.
01 October 2007 - **Skye
MKM and Sapphire MKM both get First Premium Awards**
Congratulations to Liz Smith on her excellent
result with Skye and Sapphire
at the recent Scottish Sports Horse Grading. MKM Sportshorse
Stud bred both of these lovely fillys, out of different
sires and different dams, so we are delighted with this
result.
24 September 2007 - We
have just purchased another stunning broodmare from
Gestüt Mühlenort. (See picture above). We
thank Volker and Leonie for giving us the opportunity
to buy another top class mare from them. St.Pr. Miss
Moonshine (Münchhausen
x De Niro x Weltmeyer) was Mare Performance
Test Winner in 2004 and produced 2006 Champion
Foal at Schillerslage. She is in foal to Spielberg (Sunny
Boy x Rosier) for 2008. Her webpage will follow shortly.
15 September 2007 - Sapphire
MKM arrived safely at her new home. We were also
very lucky to see Skye MKM (2005
filly) during the visit. This beautiful big filly has
turned into a stunning young mare.
08 September 2007 - In
the latest Der Hannoveraner magazine, about the recent
Mare Shows it says
"Mare show Adelheidsdorf:…. The class win
of the three year old mares was won by St.Pr.
Hatara by His Highness – Longchamp (breeder
and owner: Bramall-Dusche GbR). This black mare was
standing in a near perfect harmonie of conformation,
with a fantastic walk. As well she did a very good mare
test…."
14 August 2007 - We
were delighted to receive an update on Riviera,
including some wonderful ridden pictures (see picture
above). Riviera had his first outing recently, where
he took part in a lecture demo with Laura Fry. I'm informed,
by his owner Julie that "He didn't put a foot wrong".
Julie is very kindly sending us video of the demo and
we look forward to watching Riviera and Laura.
22 June 2007 - Hatara
arrived from Germany last night. We are so pleased with
the purchase of this mare. She is in foal to Danone
I (De Niro x Weltmeyer) and is due mid March 2008.
When turned out in the field this morning, Hatara showed
us exactly why she was Reserve Champion!
08 June 2007 - More
Great News On Hatara!!!!
At the Mare Show in Germany yesterday, Hatara was Best
3 Year old Mare and gained her
State Premium Title, THEN went on to
take RESERVE CHAMPION of the whole
show out
of 62 mares!!!!
This is much more than we hoped for and we are alsolutely
delighted with the result.
Our thanks have to go to Leonie Bramall and Volker Dusche
for breeding such a top quality mare and producing her
to a high standard for her performance test and the
mare show.
06 June 2007 - Great
news!!!!
'HATARA' completed her
Performance Test in Germany yesterday with excellent
scores.
She received 9 for walk, 7 for trot, 8 for canter -
with overall score of 8. For rideability she scored
9.
We thank Leonie Bramall and Volker Dusche for all their
hard work!!
05 June 2007 - We
were pleased to hear yesterday that Libby and her Belissimo
filly foal arrived safely with their new owner in York.
The new owner is delighted with both mare and foal.
We look forward to pictures soon.
30 May 2007 - Rubinha
is confirmed in foal to Hotline for April 2008.
21 May 2007 - We
were delighted to receive pictures of Havanna and Pam
Millar (pictures kindly taken by Flash Photography).
As you can see from the picture above and pictures on
Havanna's webpage, she is
looking wonderful. Our new broodmare 'Hatara' is also
bred by Leonie
Bramall and Volker Dusche in Germany - the same
breeders of Havanna.
15 May 2007 - Congratulations

11 May 2007 - She's
finally here!! A week overdue - but worth the wait.
A chestnut filly by Sir Donnerhall x Weltmeyer x Rubinstein
- this is a big strong filly and we are absolutely delighted

01 May 2007 - We
are very excited about our new broodmare 'Hatara' (pictured
above).
This mare carries very exciting bloodlines - His Highness
x Longchamp x Bolero
Hatara will remain in Germany and complete her Mare
Performance Test and then the Hanoverian Mare Show in
July, before being transported to Scotland. This mare
is in foal to Danone I for 2008.
We were saddened to hear the news regarding the death
of His Highness yesterday and are very grateful to have
a daughter of this amazing stallion.
28 April 2007 - We
have our first confirmed pregnancy!
Raissa is confirmed in
foal to Sir Donnerhall for early March 2008.
18 April 2007 - Congratulations
to Olwyn Coope in York on the purchase of the beautiful
broodmare 'Liberia' AND her stunning Belissimo Filly
foal.
03 April 2007 - Congratulations
to Liz Smith on the purchase of our St. Moritz x Rubinstein
filly foal.
Liz is a previous client of ours who was so delighted
with her first purchase 'Skye'
that she decided to buy from us again. We know this
beautiful filly foal is going to a very special home
and we are delighted that Skye will have a new playmate
in September when the filly foal will be ready for weaning.
31 March @ 9am 2007 -
Liberia decided
to help lift our hearts and produced a beautiful long
legged chestnut filly this morning. The first picture
can be seen on her Sales Page.
31 March 2007 @ 1.30am
- We were saddened
with the loss of our beautiful broodmare 'Soraya' and
her foal as she struggled to foal in the early hours
of this morning. Unfortunately after hours with 2 vets
helping, it was decided we couldn't let her suffer any
longer.
24 March 2007 - Our
first foal of 2007 is born!!!
A very pretty black filly foal with star and two white
back fetlocks was born in the early hours of this morning.
She is by Premium Hanoverian stallion St. Moritz (Sandro
Hit x De Niro), out of our
Rubinstein x Weltmeyer broodmare. *This

27 February 2007 - We
were very pleased to hear from Havanna's owner Pam Millar,
who informed us that Havanna competed in her first Elementary
test at the weekend, and won the class with 67.2%.
Huge Congratulations to both of them!!
23 February 2007 - At
6am today, Bailey loaded like a dream onto the Gillies
lorry and set off to his new home. We heard later that
day that he arrived safely at his new yard and unloaded
with no problems. We look forward to hearing about his
progress over the coming months.
11 February 2007 - We
recently returned from the KWPN Stallion Licensing in
Holland, with our good friends Caroline and Gordon Ironside.
As always this was a packed 4 days with the International
Meeting on the Wednesday night, followed by the jumping
stallions on Thursday and dressage horses on the Friday.
The Saturday was the final round for both jumping and
dressage stallions, and was followed by the Select Sale
in the afternoon. On the Sunday, we
took a 3 hour train journey to the north east of Holland
to visit Studfarm Renken. There we viewed many top class
horses and we thank Harold Renken and Katja van
der Lubbe for their hospitality.
05 February 2007 - Congratulations
to Fiona Raeside on the purchase of Bailey. Gillies
Horse Transporters will collect Bailey in a couple of
weeks time and take him to his new home in Glasgow.
We wish Fiona and her family the very best and look
forward to regaular updates on Bailey.
