Bought
by Julie Langlands in Yorkshire, Riviera is based
at Laura Fry's Dressage Yard where he is being aimed
at top level dressage.
Riviera
is a lovely black gelding that gained Third Place
at the Scottish Sportshorse Foal show sponsored by
Bailey’s in 2002. He gained an overall mark
of 8 out of 10, and the KWPN Judge commented on Riviera’s
very good walk, trot and canter.
Riviera’s sire is Royal Geneve. This beautiful
young stallion is by
Silvio II who absolved his stallion performance test
in Medigen in 1993, with the highest jumping index
of the year. Geneve's grandsire needs no introduction;
he is the famous Zangersheide stallion Sandro Z who
earned his own reputation in the jumping arena under
Franke Sloothaak. Another of Geneve's grandsires is
Ahorn Z. Ahorn Z goes back to
what could possibly be one of the most famous stallions
of all time, namely Almè Z.
Riviera’s dam is the beautiful black Hanoverian
mare, Raissa by Rubinstein.
